This Sunday on the NBC drama “American Dreams” radio/television talk show host Tavis Smiley will portray Supreme Court Justice and civil rights icon Thurgood Marshall. The storyline will follow African-American college freshman Sam Walker, who leaves his University of Pennsylvania studies to spend Thanksgiving dinner at his girlfriend’s home -- and has a meeting with another guest at the table, the Honorable Marshall, 12 years after the landmark 1954 decision of Brown vs. the Board of Education and just before his appointment to the nation’s highest court.

Two weeks after starting an ambitious weight-loss regimen, 449-lb. American Idol icon Ruben Studdard has decided to ditch his diet. Studdard, 26, who had lost about 12 lbs., initially chose to follow a low-carb, low-cal, medically supervised meal plan and display the results on the TV show Extra, but due to scheduling conflicts Rue wasn’t able to go in every day to meet with a nurse like the diet required. He’s now trying a home-delivery meal plan and, he says, working out three times a week with a fitness trainer.

The NY Post reports that R. Kelly isn’t going out quietly over the BOBW tour. Kelly sat down with DJ/ VJ Big Tigger noting that his feud with former tour mate Jay-Z could have ended with bullets flying rather than a $75 million lawsuit. But Kelly says the memory of the futile murders of rappers Biggie Smalls and Tupac Shakur prevented him from taking matters into his own hands when he learned Jay-Z was openly speaking of the rift on the radio. Kelly's interview will air Sunday on Tigger’s radio show “The Den”.

Jay-Z stopped by 'Late Night with Conan O'Brien' on Thursday night to promote his new movie 'Fade To Black' that hits theatres today. Conan asked him about bling bling in hip hop, his private romance with Destiny's Child star Beyonce Knowles, retiring from rap, music he listens to, idolizing Michael Jordan, Sean 'P. Diddy' Combs' birthday bash, and more -- but no mention of R. Kelly.

Sean "P. Diddy" Combs has declared that he wants to play James Bond in the next 007 flick. Diddy says he thinks the world is ready for a black James Bond. He also said he would want actress Angelina Jolie to play his Bond girl. Reports have already surfaced that Jolie wants to play a villain in the franchise's next installment.
