First and foremost R.I.P to rapper Ol' Dirty Bastard who passed away this weekend. ODB was attempting to finish off his album and make his comeback to the hip-hop game. He would have been 36 years young today. He will be missed.

Hip-Hop artist/producer Kanye West provided the evening's main drama last night at the AMA’s when he told reporters backstage that he was "definitely robbed" of the prize for breakthrough new artist, which went instead to country star Gretchen Wilson. "I was the best new artist this year, so get that other bull out of here," said West.

The cosmetic company MAC has created two new shades of Lipglass in honor of Fantasia, who was this year’s winner of American Idol. The lip gloss will go on sale the day prior to the release of her album “Free Yourself” (Nov 22). The two shades have the names Fantabulous 1, described as “a smoldering copper,” and Fantabulous 2, “a full-on reddened bronze.”

In a recent interview with Hot 97, Ja Rule stated that he and Irv Gotti are working on a remix of his current hit single ''New York''. "T.I. is gonna do a verse for the ATL region, I really don't know who we are all gonna use but Gotti is putting it all together" he said "I've been running around on the road so I haven't had a chance to be in the studio but I've heard T.I. and Ice Cube".

Rapper Ice Cube is set to star alongside Nia Long in the comedy "Are We There Yet?" Ice Cube will play the role of a playboy bachelor (Nick) whose relationship with Nia Long's character (Suzanne) is threatened during New Year's Eve. When Suzanne's work keeps her in New York City for the holiday, Nick offers to bring her kids to the city from Washington D.C. The kids, who have never liked any of the men their mom has dated, and are determined to turn the trip a nightmare for Nick. The movie is expected in theatres on January 28th.

Nelly and Tim McGraw will perform their hit duet “Over and Over,” from Nelly’s Suit album on the concert special “Tim McGraw: Here and Now,” premiering November 24th on NBC.

After 17 months together, ex-girlfriend of Bill Maher (ABC’s Politically Incorrect and HBO's "Real Time") Nancy "Coco" Johnsen is suing him for $9 million dollars. Johnsen says Mayer persuaded her to give up her 12-year run as a flight attendant for Delta Airlines on promises to marry her and buy her a home in Beverly Hills. Johnsen says after she quit working to give her time and energy to him, Maher became abusive and often made racial comments about her as a black woman, and physically threatened her..

Bad Boy Records has bundled together its best-known R&B material on the CD/DVD Bad Boy: R&B Hits. Due November 23rd, the audio disc gathers up such favorites as P. Diddy's "I Need a Girl (Part One)" featuring Usher and Loon, Diddy's "Satisfy You" featuring R. Kelly, Mase's "What You Want" and the late Notorious B.I.G.'s "F*** You Tonight." The disc is rounded out by tracks from Mary J. Blige, 112, Faith Evans , New Edition, Jodeci and Cheri Dennis. The DVD portion of "Bad Boy: R&B Hits" sports videos for seven of the 12 tracks found on the CD, including Evans' "Can't Believe" and "All Night Long" and 112's "Peaches & Cream" and "Dance With Me."
