ANOTHER ONE BITES THE DUST: Ja Rule’s manager, Ron "Gutta" Robinson was arrested and was arraigned on money laundering charges on Wednesday in an ongoing investigation of the music label The Inc., formerly Murder Inc. He has been released on $500,000 bond. An indictment accused Robinson of conspiring with other unidentified suspects to launder more than $1 million between 1997 and 2002. He allegedly "knew and believed that some of the laundered funds were the proceeds of ... a controlled substance," the indictment said. Federal prosecutors are probing ties between drug dealers and The Inc. Last week, the label's bookkeeper was indicted, also on money laundering charges.

Khujo Goodie and T-Mo Goodie of the Goodie Mob, have teamed up to form a new group called the Lumberjacks. Look for their first release, Livin' Life Like Lumberjacks, on January 25. The first single will be "Turn the Whip" featuring Big Hustle and is due to hit radio very soon.

AI RETURNS: Another season of Fox’s American Idol is set to jump off Tuesday, Feb. 22. Simon Cowell, Paula Abdul and Randy Jackson return as judges along with Ryan Seacrest. Auditions will be held in Cleveland, St. Louis, Washington, DC, New Orleans, Orlando, Las Vegas and San Francisco this time around.

The New York Daily News reports, Robert De Niro and his wife, Grace Hightower, are proving that love is lovelier the second time around. Not only is the once-warring couple renewing their vows on Saturday, we also hear they may be expecting another child.

Throw back rap artist Sir Mix-A-Lot and Versaly Entertainment have linked up to create and produce “Mixtones” which is a new form of ringtones for today’s younger cell phone subscribers.

Regina King and Countess Vaughn have been chosen to voice the characters in the television adaptation of Aaron McGruder’s comic strip The Boondocks. The series will air on the Cartoon Network in 2005.

And so much for the Destiny’s Child return. With the new album out it seems all great, but Beyonce says the girls are not really a group anymore. “We want to start families and have children so it could be years before the next album comes, if we’re still interested.” Destiny’s Child dropped their latest album Destiny’s Fullfilled this past Tuesday.
